名利跑馬燈〈契機〉77利

這句話無疑是用關心的語氣在說著：「Alex, did you make good friends at school today? 」這句話幾乎是杰他們每天都在問的問題，基於我才剛到這裡沒多久的原因，他們總是不厭其煩的問著，像是要問出一個明確的答案，但在我看來，這卻很令人煩躁。

我不願意讓他們擔心，就乾脆每天都說謊道：「fine, of course. 

Many people came to make good friends with me today.

They are all very good people and will not exclude me.

Jay, actually you don’t have to worry about me.」

珊聽到艾力克斯的話，就放心許多，但她還是不免擔憂的說著：「Are you sure?

 

If you are bullied at school, remember to tell us.

Don't forget, we are your guardians now, no matter what happens, we must explain to us.」

但我不曉得他們心裡的想法，只是一味的編造著謊言道：「Of course, I will not lie to you.」

At that time, I just didn't want to worry my adoptive parents, so I would rather deceive them.

After all, I am just an adopted child, and of course I have to learn to be a good baby.  

珊像是在自問自答道：「Jay, Alex should not hide us.

Besides, he has been here for several months, and nothing will happen.  」但是等到艾力克斯回到房間後，她著急的就像是一個真正擔心孩子的母親似的。

杰這番話看似是為了珊而安慰著：「Of course, it's okay, he can't lie, after all, we are family members living under the same roof.

He will not make such a mistake.」

可是實際上他自己也是很煩惱這個孩子的前途，他心裡想著肯定是要與這個孩子溝通的。

 

杰又偷偷來到二樓，趁著珊不注意時，他說道：「Alex, you tell me the truth, did you encounter something at school?

If yes, you nod your head, we will not blame you, you are our child.

No matter what happens, you should face it together.」

艾力克斯知道肯定是瞞不住杰的眼睛，他很誠實的就提出質疑道：「The people here don't seem to like me.

 They are very repulsive and always call me an Oriental.

Why is this because I am different from you.」

杰似乎知道問題的所在處，但他還是好言相勸的道：「Did you tell them well?

Say you don't like them like this to you.

You should explain to them that this is wrong.」

艾力克斯顯然對自己不是很有自信，他以懷疑的口吻道：「Um............. 

Okay, but I don’t think it works.

This school seems to have bullies.
